However, a win for Costa Rica will be accepted with a lot of emotion following the tragic death of Dennis Marshall. The defender, who died in a car crash last week, will be remembered for long as coach Ricardo La Volpe affirmed according to MLSsoccer.com:
“It’s a tough blow. He was a young guy with a big future. I send my most heartfelt condolences to his family”
Dennis Marshall, who scored against Honduras in the quarter-finals of the 2011 Gold Cup, was not listed to play in Costa Rica’s reviewed squad for the Copa America anyways. However, mourning fans will be hoping for a bit of consolation with three massive points against Colombia.
